Letter to the Editor - Ledger Dispatch Opinions

JEFF BROWN, WHAT UPCOUNTRY NEEDS

I have worked with Jeff Brown for 12 years and I encourage him to run for District 3 Supervisor. Jeff is not only Board President, but also our Manager of First Mace Meadow Water Association. If there is ever an issue, Jeff is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. He solves problems rapidly, but with careful thought and planning.
Jeff has great vision for what lies ahead and in return, FMMWA has remained more than solvent through hard times. While we have seen other small water districts struggle financially, Jeff Brown and his Board are brilliant with the budget. Jeff negotiated with Verizon for 2 years and now there is a much needed cell tower in Mace Meadow. He has purchased 2 new water tanks, which cost over $100k each without FMMWA having to take out a loan. Even though the cost of water from AWA has risen significantly, the cost to the residents/shareholders has not gone up.
These are the qualities that we need in our new District 3 Supervisor. I am proud to say, “I am behind Jeff Brown 100%.”

KVGCRADIO.COM Jeff Brown Announces Candidacy

Jeff Brown Announces Candidacy For Amador District 3
Jeff Brown has officially announced his candidacy for Amador County District 3 Supervisor. A 24 year veteran of the Air Force, Brown is employed with the US Forest Service. In running for the Board of Supervisors, Brown says he feels a more responsive voice is needed on the Board, for the residents of District 3. Brown has outlined three major concerns for his campaign, Water Resources, Fire and Emergency services and the issue of tree mortality. Brown is the current President of the Board of First Mace Meadow Water Association and is keenly aware of the current water issues facing District 3 and will continue to seek ways to keep water supplies safe and plentiful, without unnecessary restrictions. As an employee of the U.S. Forest service, working closely with firefighting teams in the field, Brown says he will support and promote the growth of the County Fire Departments and prioritize the budget for the resources they need. On the issue of Tree Mortality, Brown will continue to seek new efforts to assist those with dead trees and work with the County, the Forest Service and the Tree Mortality Task Force to focus on mitigating hazard trees and thinning overly dense forests so they are healthier and better able to survive stressors in the future. Brown will face incumbent Lynn Morgan, in what is now a 2 person race for the District 3 seat.

From the Shadows Comes a Leader

There are many residents of Pioneer, Pine Grove and Volcano residents that have
not met, much less heard of Jeff Brown. That's exactly what Jeff would
like to see end. Currently, he is President of the First Mace Meadows
Water Association and he takes seat as the Chairperson of the Upcountry
Community Council January 8th. But still, that is not enough. Jeff feels that it is long
overdue to run for Board of Supervisors.
"I am going to run a clean campaign. That's who I am, " Jeff said
emphatically to his supporters. "We need an honest and experienced
leader for Supervisor for District 3. I feel I really am the best
candidate for the job."
Jeff Brown is anxious to meet and greet his neighbors in District 3.
Jeff is heading out today to knock on doors. Look for him in your
neighborhood.
JEFF BROWN IS COMING! You can count on it!
